What to expect. What's included. What a day actually feels like.
This page answers the practical questions before you send an introduction. Nothing here is hidden — we'd rather be transparent than leave things unclear.
What a day actually feels like
A SERVTOOL walk is a slow-moving day through the city with a small group of people paying close attention.
We walk. We stop when something is interesting. Sometimes we stand in one place for several minutes without saying anything.
There is a midday pause — usually a long one. A café, food near the water, or simply sitting somewhere without an agenda. Not because we've run out of city to see, but because rest is part of how you actually absorb a place.
The pace is slower than most people expect. The distances are shorter than you'd cover in a typical walking tour. What changes is the quality of attention.
We move through places carefully enough to actually experience them.
Pricing
One-Day Signature Walk
Approx. $35–60 USD
Per person. Includes local transport during the experience and guided group pacing throughout the day. Meals, cafés, and personal purchases are separate and flexible.
Two-Day Immersion
Approx. $90–140 USD
Per person. Includes both days of group experience and local transportation during the walk. Accommodation, meals, and personal expenses are arranged individually.
Pricing reflects a small, deliberately paced group experience — not a commercial tour. It covers time, local logistics, and transport. It does not include meals or personal spending.
Sometimes we eat together. Sometimes people wander briefly before regrouping. Meals are informal — a small local restaurant, convenience-store food near the water, coffee in the afternoon. Everyone orders and pays individually.
Exact pricing for each scheduled experience is listed on the experience detail page.

Pacing & Physical Expectations
These experiences are intentionally slow. We cover less distance than you might expect in a full day.
You will walk for extended periods, but the pace is relaxed and rest stops are built in. We do not march. We don't have a schedule to keep.
Some routes involve hills, stairs, or uneven surfaces near harbor and industrial areas. Nothing technically demanding — but comfortable, broken-in shoes are essential.
If you have physical considerations that might affect your participation, please mention them when you send your introduction. We can often adjust routes or pacing.
Group Size
One-Day experiences: 4–8 people. Usually 4–6.
Two-Day Immersion: 4–6 people. Maximum 6.
Group size is intentionally limited. This is what allows real conversation, genuine silence, and the kind of attention that a larger group makes impossible.
Weather
We walk in most weather. Light rain often improves the experience — reflections, reduced crowds, different light.
Heavy rain, thunder, or extreme heat may cause rescheduling. Confirmed participants are notified directly.
Weather is one of the things that shapes each walk. It is not a problem to manage. It is part of what makes each experience different.
Language
English is our shared language. Participants come from many different countries and backgrounds. Korean is often spoken in the environment around us, which is part of the texture of the experience.
Silence is always welcome. You don't need to talk. You don't need to explain what you're photographing or writing.
Accommodations — Two-Day Immersion
The Two-Day Immersion involves a night in Busan between Day One and Day Two. Participants arrange their own accommodation.
We'll share recommendations for neighborhoods and guesthouses that make sense given the areas we'll be moving through. Proximity to the experience area is helpful but not required.
